ADVERTORIAL: ‘Attack on Dr. Tai Malumi, Mistargeted’ -Annah

Published

on

Earlier today,
Dr. Tai Malumi was attacked on his way to Lagos from Ondo state and news had it that he is a serving senator.

Let it be known to the entire public that Dr. Tai Malumi is a Private citizen and a medical doctor. He’s also the Chairman of FUNTIA groups of company. He has never held any political or public office in Nigeria.

He took his time during this attack to even address the youth yet some of them were so adamant. They requested for 2m from him which is ridiculous.

His son Mr. Olusegun Malumi is currently serving food at the Lekki toll gate for protesters.

Tell me, what are we representing if we start attacking ourselves?

Dr. Tai Malumi is from Ode-Mahin in ILAJE LGA of Ondo state. He has contributed immensely to the growth of the youth in ILAJE and the south senatorial district of Ondo state. During the COVID 19 Lock down, he contributed COVID relief package for the people of ILAJE.

Some of his philanthropic works includes:

Education for the youth and less privileged. He built a medical center in Ode-Mahin for the the sick and pregnant women. He built a secondary school hall and library in ILAJE in ondo state and Shagamu ogun state.

He also contributed Flood relief materials for the victims in ondo state through the help of his Son who is also a Private citizen like his father.

He has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Ondo state and Nigeria without requesting or collecting a penny from the government.

I am a living testimony of his generosity and many others.

I Fayemi Olawumi Annah hereby condemn this attack.
Let us stop fake news and focus on the goals at hand. Let us protest rightly and peacefully without violence.

We are decent Youth not thugs.
We stand against violence.
We stand against attack on private citizens.
We stand against distractions.
We stand against molestation.

Kindly find below this message his Son distributing food for protesters in Lekki.

Signed
Fayemi Olawumi Annah.

8 things Lai Mohammed said about EndSars, CNN’s report

Published

on

By

The Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed on Thursday morning reacted to an ‘exclusive’ report released on Wednesday by international news platform, -Cable News Network (CNN), addressing issues raised in the report.

The televised press address on the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) had a select team of Journalists in attendance.

These are eight main points of Mohammed’s address:

1.

THE FG WAS RESPONSIVE AND VERY RESPONSIBLE IN ITS HANDLING OF THE DEMANDS OF THE ENDSARS PROTESTERS

“The Federal Government was responsive and responsible in meeting the demands of the EndSARS protesters”

2.

WE DO NOT HAVE PLANS TO SHUT DOWN THE SOCIAL MEDIA

“The irresponsible use of social media by some unscrupulous persons aggravated the violence that erupted in the wake of the EndSARS protest and helped to precipitate the violence. While the government has no plans to shut down the internet, it will work with stakeholders to regulate the social media to curb abuse”

3.

WE CAN’TFOLDOUR ARMS AND ALLOW THE SOCIALMEDIA TO BE USED NEGATIVELY

“Those who use the social media responsibly have nothing to fear, but those who abuse it have every reason to be worried, as no responsible government will stand by and allow a few unscrupulous elements to set the country ablaze.”

4.

CNN’s REPORT IS JAUNDICED

“CNN goofed in its preconceived stance that the soldiers who were deployed to Lekki Toll Gate indeed shot at protesters, killing some of them. CNN relied heavily on unverified and possibly-doctored videos, as well as information sourced from questionable sources, to reach its conclusion. This should earn CNN a serious sanction for irresponsible reporting.”

5.

THERE WAS NO KILLING IN LEKKI

“While the Judicial Panel sitting in Lagos works to unravel what really transpired at the Lekki Toll Gate, available evidence so far points to the world’s first case of MASSACRE WITHOUT BLOOD OR BODIES.”

6.

KUDOS TO THE ARMY, POLICE, OTHERS

“The Federal Government commends the security agencies for acting professionally and showing utmost restraint all through the EndSARS protest and the ensuing violence, an action that saved lives and properties”

“Human Rights Organizations should note that the security agents are also human beings and they have rights too. Even if the organizations, for whatever reasons, are reluctant to recognize the human rights of security agents, they should quit vilifying them as they are wont to do. It is also disheartening that the human rights organizations have not seen anything wrong in the mindless violence that was perpetrated in the name of EndSARS.”

7.

DJ SWITCH IS AN AGENT OF FAKE NEWS

“DJ Switch (Obianuju Catherine Udeh) should quit peddling falsehood and present her case, with verifiable evidence, to the Judicial Panel sitting in Lagos. No agency of government has declared her wanted hence she has no reason fleeing or seeking asylum anywhere.”

8.

NBC WAS LENIENT WITH THE FINES ON AIT, CHANNELS AND ARISETV

“The sanctions imposed on some broadcast media organizations by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) are justified, in view of the unprofessional acts of the organizations which were in clear breach of the Broadcasting Code, as stated by the Commission. It is also imperative for the traditional media to authenticate information from the social media before pushing such to the public”

Former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, has described the death of ex-Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Balarabe Musa, as a big loss to the Nigerian nation and the African continent.

Mimiko, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, John Paul Akinduro, said “Balarabe Musa was a detribalised Nigerian, who until his death, remained a true advocate for a just, fair and pro-people Nigeria”.

He further described the elderstatesman as a dogged politician. “To my mind, his most remarkable legacy was his unwavering commitment to principle in the face of overwhelming opposition and oppression during the ignoble effort to impeach him from the office of governor”

Mimiko eulogized the late ex-Governor of Kaduna State as one whose uncommon leadership style stood him out among the rest.

“Though he has left us, his passion and dedication towards making Nigeria an egalitarian society will continue to be a reference point for quality leadership. I join the good people of Kaduna state to celebrate his life and times and the legacy of selflessness he has bequeathed to our country,” Mimiko said.
