As the month of Ramadan, -Muslims’ fasting season enters day five, Muslims in Lagos have been admonished to care and give to the poor and needy in the society.
The newly elected Ajeromi Ifelodun Federal House of Representative member, Alhaji Kolawole Taiwo, gave the admonition, in a chat with Newsmen in Ikeja while speaking on the significance of Ramadan.
According to Alhaji Kolawole, Ramadan is a period of atonement of sin from Allah, but counselled faithful to adhere strictly to the lifestyle of Ramadan after the thirty days fasting so that the purpose of the holy period is not defeated.
Alhaji Kolawole of the All Progressive Congress, APC, also thanked the people of his constituency in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, for believing in him for the victory recorded in the rerun election last month, where he defeated the incumbent House of Representative member, Mrs Rita Orji, of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He promised to ensure Youths are gainfully employed to reduce restiveness among them.
