Building Collapse: Stakeholders Commend Buildmacex 2015

As Nigeria continues in its quest for a lasting solution to the prevalent building collapse in the country, stakeholders in the building sector has commended the ongoing building and construction exhibition 2015 tagged ” Buildmacex”.

Buildmacex 2015Vice President, Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA),Tunji Olukoya in a remark noted that that they are delighted to host the event in Lagos with the idea of fostering relationship between Nigeria and Turkey. He added that the trade volume between the two countries in 2013 stood at $2.3 Billion in favor of Turkey.

According to him, the main imports from Turkey include cloths, building materials and accessories and other house hold items. He then called on Turkey to foster the existing relationship by growing the trade.

” There is need for more trade relationship and exhibitions and we implore exhibitors to use the opportunities for a fruitful and rewarding business relationship” he said.

Managing Director, Atlantic Exhibition, Ayodeji Olugbade said there aim is to provide an exciting platform for exchange of ideas, innovations, experiences, knowledge for interactions and partnership.

He also expressed appreciation to the Meridyenfair International, Turkey for the partnership and cooporation provided towards the exhibition.

According to Olugbade, larger percentage of exhibitors at this year’s event are from Turkey while a few others are from: Italy, Ukraine, Portugal, USA, China, India, UAE, Pakistan and the host country, Nigeria.

Also speaking, the managing Director, Meridyenfair International, Nuvit Becan, said their presence at the exhibition is to demonstrate their believe to the future of Nigeria and its government. Adding that most businessmen believe in Nigeria. He explained that the aim of the fair is to bring to Nigeria several business persons to develop business interaction from various sectors. And develop cooperation, partnership, import and export opportunities.

“There are 55 exhibitors from Turkey and 39 exhibitors from all over the world and we expect them to establish the first step of a very fruitful and long term relations not only with our host country, Nigeria business partners but also between themselves”

Buildmacex 2015 was put together by Atlantic Exhibition, Nigeria in partnership with Meridyenfair International, Turkey. This year’s event theme is ” Building business bridges while building Nigeria”
