Indications emerged on Monday that the embattled Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola will later today declare his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Soldier-turned-Politician seems to have finally made up his mind to support the incumbent governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as Oyinlola may publicly declare so at a mega rally organized for the APC candidate in Osogbo, the state capital on Tuesday.
Recall that Prince Oyinlola was conspicuously absent at a mega rally organized to campaign for the PDP candidate, Iyiola Omisoore which was attended by President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Adamu Muazu; and the leaders of the party last Saturday.
A statement by the Chairman and Secretary of the Aregbesola Campaign Committee for the federal constituency, Senator Bayo Salami and Barr. Kolapo Alimi, respectively said the Osogbo mega rally will hold at the Osogbo City Stadium by 10 am today.
The national leaders of the All Progressives Congress, including the Chairman, John Oyegun, Chief Bisi Akande, Gen Muhamodu Buhari, Senator Bola Amed Tinubu, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Mallam Nuru Ribadu, all the governors of the APC, including Rotimi Amechi of Rivers State, Raji Fashola of Lagos State and Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State are expected at the mega rally.
The Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun federal constituency mega rally would be the final campaign outing of the All Progressives Congress and Ogbeni Aregbesola.
