Hours after some judges were arrested in a gestapo-like manner in different parts of the country for alleged bribe-taking, President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated two Justices from northern Nigeria to serve at the Supreme Court.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, read the letter conveying the request after the Senate returned from closed-door session on Tuesday morning at the Upper Chamber.
The Department of Secret Service (DSS) announced last week, that it had raided the homes of some judges across the country over allegations of corruption leveled against them, and found some hard and local currencies in their homes as evidence. The Judges were however arraigned on Monday.
