The Kaduna State Correspondent of Television Continental (TVC), Mr. Tesem Akende is still in pain as you read this. The Journalist was attacked by a military dog after a Soldier (Military Police) unleashed the beast on him, while Akende was on his statustory duty as a Journalist.
Although, the reporter was taken to a hospital for medical attention, he is still nursing the wounds.
The reporter narrated how it happened: “On arrival at NDA, I was directed to where to park my vehicle. I complied with that, after which I and my crew members subsequently rolled out our work tools, and we were on our final routine check, and onward entry into the academy, when the unimaginable soon happened. From nowhere, a fierce looking dog, K9 as they call it, suddenly made its way to my leg. The dog had a field day, leaving me with deep cuts to the chagrin of onlookers.
“I eventually managed myself back to Kaduna city for medical attention, leaving my cameraman behind. But I was amazed, as the military police officers who were to manage the dogs showed no remorse at what had happened. Only an official of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), came to sympathise with me.”
