UNILAG Joins ASUU Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, University of Lagos Chapter, has ensured total compliance with the strike directive given by the union’s National Executive Committee. The Chairman of the chapter, Dr Dele Ashiru, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Lagos. STRIKE: Education Rights Campaign Throws Weight Behind ASUU

An independent pressure group, the Education Rights Campaign (ERC) has thrown its full weight behind the ongoing industrial action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) had reported that the union last Sunday, declared a nationwide indefinite strike at a meeting at the Federal University of Technology, Akure. “We Will Start Assembling BRT Buses in Lagos from 2019” -Operators

The popular BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) will from next year be assembled in Lagos. This was revealed on Tuesday by the management of Primero Transport Services Limited, operators of the transport system. The company said the plant which is being built in the state will begin operation in the second quarter of 2019.
